  • August 14, 2018December 5, 2018
  • by admin

We’re excited to feature our latest guest, serial entrepreneur Rebekah Campbell.

Rebekah has just founded and launched her third business, Zambesi, an online marketplace for career-related workshops.

Prior to Zambesi, she was co founder of a well-known cafe ordering app in Australia called Hey You!

Raised in New Zealand but now based in Australia, Rebekah started her career and first significant business in the music industry following a university summer holiday project she did that took off.

We love this interview because it is so jam-packed with honest stories, useful tips and advice.

  • In this episode you’ll hear Rebekah share her thoughts about:
  • How she figures out what business to start next and, related to that . . .
  • How she found her new purpose – one that would really last
  • Her fascinating experience working out how to ‘own the room’
  • The surprise in store when she shared how inadequate she felt compared with some of her peers.

Enjoy this episode with the entrepreneurial and insightful Rebekah Campbell

Lindley Edwards – Wisdom to Live & Work By

  • July 3, 2018April 25, 2020
  • by admin

We’re super excited to share this conversation with Lindley Edwards with you.

Lindley started her career working for one of Australia’s most renowned investment banks, Macquarie Bank, and then found a love of Asia when she took on a VP role with Citibank.

Today, Lindley runs a corporate advisory business called AFG Venture Group which specialises in cross-border investments and transactions, particularly between Asia & Australia. She’s also Chairperson for two startups and a Non-Executive Director of a Think Tank called AsiaLink.

We love the fact that Lindley is definitely not your normal investment banker… we don’t know anyone else who uses philosophy, poetry, biology, and cross-cultural intelligence as their foundation for thinking about business and disruption.

In this episode you’ll hear Lindley share her wisdom about:

  • How she thinks – or doesn’t think – about planning her career
  • Why making mistakes can be so important
  • How to negotiate your next pay rise
  • How she learnt to push through fear

We really recommend you listen to this conversation with Lindley as she shares so many useful insights and great pieces of advice with us.

Enjoy!

How To Episode

How to Manage Your Inner Critic

  • June 6, 2018July 31, 2018
  • by admin

Do your thoughts serve you or hold you back?

Welcome to this first ‘How to’ episode here at Don’t Stop Us Now!

This is where we choose a common theme and career challenge raised in previous episodes (or from your requests) and share the best ways to help you tackle this challenge and be your most awesome, unstoppable self!

In this episode you’ll hear Claire and Greta examine that pesky voice we all have inside our heads – the dreaded inner critic. We call it the Evil DJ.

If you listened to Audette Exel’s recent episode you may remember her epic quote about her inner critic:

“Now I know, I’ve identified the voice, so I’d say to it, “Oh hello voice of 2000 years of oppression, I am not going to listen to you.” I can never shut it up, it’s on my shoulder, as it is on all our shoulders.”.

Audette’s learnt a key lesson – No matter how compelling our thoughts may be, our thoughts are not necessarily facts.

Tune in now to hear:

  • theories on why we have an inner critic
  • what can happen if you let your Evil DJ dominate your thoughts,
  • and importantly, learn a simple, science-based tool to help you manage your inner critic and improve your mindset.

Enjoy this episode!
